The final finishing piece was this large, beautiful art. The Painting is from ArtExplore. It is called Black and Brown Minimalist Painting. The size is 60" by 60" and I chose a black frame. This website has amazing art and I love I could pick the exact size and frame I needed. It then two weeks while it was custom painted by the artist. I chose this piece for this wall because one thing I really loved at our health club was hot yoga. When we built this home we put in floor radiant heating in here so it gets pretty warm. The art made this part of the room feel high end, spa like, and peaceful. The perfect spot for yoga.
Lastly, the other small touches include sconces above the mirrors. These provide a soft light for yoga. I also love they just have a sticker on the back so I didn't have to make a hole in the brick. A peaceful, smelling candle to light, and I highly recommend these yoga mats. They last for years and are the best quality I have found.

When we moved into our home we wanted an exercise space. We live in the country and did not want to always have to drive to a town to workout. We also moved from a big city and when we lived there we were members at a super great health club. I looked forward to working out at the health club when we lived there and knew the more rural setting we were moving to wouldn't have that. That is the one thing I really miss. Here is how I made our gym space feel close to what we had in our big city health club.

I first started creating zones to work out in. There is the cardio area, the rack area for weights and dumbbells, and then the yoga and dumbbell workout area. These pictures above are the zones before any finishing started. The best change of the whole space was adding flooring. Exercise flooring varies greatly in quality. In one of our past homes we had rubber, interlocking tile which we installed in this space but the quality was VASTLY different. The flooring we chose weighed half a ton on delivery. Each square was heavy and it was a workout carrying them down. Our old ones were light and flimsy. The other difference with high quality exercise tile is they appear seamless once installed. I think the heavy weight helps in laying flat and there is no shifting when working out. The last difference is the feel. Our old ones were soft but these are solid. The flooring was made this space without a doubt. It looks high end, feels high end, and performs so well under workouts. This differently reminded me on our old health club. The finishes and touches were quality.
The flooring is from @rubberflooringdirect. They are Rubber Interlocking Tiles in black with 10% tan. Use code: SIMPLYNORTH15 for an extra 15% off. Also, it is super easy to install yourself.

Doesn't the flooring make a huge difference? I would not skimp on the quality of flooring for an exercise space, however the accessories like the mirrors, exercise bike, and console table are all from Walmart. They are super affordable and have exceeded my expectations.

I really wanted wood paneling on this back wall. I knew it would add a high end health club vibe, however the price was too high. I went back to the drawing board and came across wall paper that looks like wood paneling. I was a little nervous this would look fake, but it looks so real! I am not kidding. It turned out amazing and took my husband and I an hour to install.
The wall paper if from Wall Blush. It is called Timber and I went with Luxe Peel & Stick. I get a lot of questions on peel & stick or traditional which uses the glue. I have used both and like both. Traditional is going to be more permanent. And if you wall paper is cheeper quality peel & stick can peel off the wall on its own. I now have all high quality wall paper and have not had trouble with the peel & stick coming off. One thing I will say is the I love Wall Blush because some wall paper requires a 1/4" overlap but the ones I have used line right up. It is easier for me to install without an overlap and I appreciate that. The quality is also 10/10.
