How I Transformed our Bedroom on a Budget

I took a risk on a few key furniture pieces. They were so reasonable I thought I would be sacrificing quality.

I think before I explain how I did any of this I should say it has taken me a bit to get here. Making a home and a space work for you and your family takes so much time and a lot of thought. And no one has a lot of time anymore. I also think it is important to live in the space for a while before deciding what it needs. We moved into our house with the furniture we had from our previous house. We loved it. It worked. Was it perfect of this space? No. Did it make me pause and think how beautiful? No. And that is okay. However, I love to pause and say how beautiful. If something makes me pause and examine it because of its beauty it makes my day. If something makes me exhale because of its beauty it is amazing. If I feel at peace because of beauty it is so good. Shouldn't our homes do that? My end goal with my home is one big pause and exhale. The world is chaotic and hard and a lot. I am trying to make our home the exact opposite. The beauty, the exhale, and the pease is what I want our home to be for everyone who comes over.

Then there is a budget. If we all had millions to throw at high end stores, homes, and interior designers we could create the beauty quickly. That's nice and fun, but there is some joy that comes from creating your own beauty. Then how do we do this? Well, don't be afraid to buy cheeper furniture. I did buy a cheep king size bed for $275 on sale and it is amazing. I also bought a media center for $150 and it works so good and is such quality. This is a risk, but with Amazon and Walmart they are really good with returns so I thought it was a risk worth taking. My nightstands were Facebook Marketplace finds. Don't forget to always look or browse marketplace for a good deal as well. It does take some time to find deals, but I promise it is worth it. I promise that creating beauty and peace in your home is a gift you give yourself. If you ever want help or to bounce an idea off me I would love it. I will link my affordable finds at the bottom.
