How I made the Pottery Barn Leaf
I made the Pottery Barn leaf that sold out for under $5 myself. It was fun and anyone can do it!

This was such a fun DIY. To make this leaf dish for under $5 was a steal compared to the Pottery Barn one. The supplies I used:

The first step in my leaf dish was printing off the leaf design I wanted. I created a maple leaf design that you can use and print off. The size was about 6 by 9 inches when printed. I cut it out. Then I got the clay out. I used 1/3 of the clay container and rolled the clay out to about 1 inch in thickness. Next, I placed the cut out leaf over the clay and cut around the leaf design with a knife. When it was all cut out I placed the leaf in a bowl to give it a bowl shape. I let the clay dry for 2 days.

The last step was painting it. I used a combo of the paint colors above to achieve this terra cotta look. I painted the front and back and let dry. Once it was done I added it to my entry table. I ordered custom match books to put in the dish as a gift for guests to take when leaving.
