Christmas Home Tour

I thought a mini Christmas home tour might be helpful to give ideas and inspiration. Affordable finds are my go to and so is Facebook market place.

I love the holidays. It gets cold and darker and the inside of your home becomes even more important because we are there more often. I don't think you need to go buy a lot to make your home welcoming and warm. Lighting is key: instead of overhead lights switch to lamps and candles. I generally just buy a few things every year that I love and that are affordable. After 17 years I have a holiday collection, I guess you could say. I also think Facebook marketplace is a great idea to find affordable Christmas items. I have gotten quite a few Christmas decor including my 14 foot tree. Four things I do recommend as a must: Greenery, ribbon, and stockings, and a tree.

A simple way to add holiday decor is to tie a ribbon on candles like I did here. Also, this mantel decor is super affordable. It is all from Walmart and Amazon. All four stockings are $20 total and so soft! The bells are from Walmart and $12!

I also switch out a few pillow covers. This year I did this plaid one on my blue sofa. It seemed traditional and I was craving red and plaids this year.

More plaid! I love this table cloth from Amazon. The lamps are a new favorite and I love the soft light they bring. The napkins are such good quality. Watch this reel to see how I folded them into Christmas trees.

The entry way is just simple greenery. I also keep the same frames but just switch them out with winter art. And, of course, I light the candle. I also have all our lamps on timers to turn on at 5pm to 10pm. We use the app: Kasa to control the lamps and tree lights. That makes it easy to enjoy all the soft lights.

The advent calendar is older so I can't link it, but this big bow is from Walmart. I think I might need another one; I love it so much.
